Travel Destination: Irlandia

A green island in Western Europe, accompanied by dozens of small islets, Ireland is one of those places in Europe that are surely worth visiting. Its original culture, specific language and local traditions make this country an astonishing place and an extremely attractive travel destination. Should you decide to visit Ireland, rest assured that the possibilities for enjoying oneself here are endless.

Ireland mainly the capital, Dublin, is known by tourists. This is due to the fact that Dublin is situated in the most interesting part of Ireland, from a tourist point of view, with numerous historical monuments, events, overwhelming nature, many sports activities and the immediacy of the coast.
Dublin is a vivid city that offers a mixture of culture, history, clubbing and gastronomy.
The eastern part of Ireland is characterized by untouched nature, beautiful landscapes, woods, parks and lakes. This is the ideal place for outdoor sporting: fishing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horseback riding, canoeing. Ireland has something to offer to everyone.

Kerry

Visit County Kerry and discover why the Kingdom is a great Irish holiday destination. Find out about Kerry accommodation, attractions and holiday activities right here, and get inspired to explore our beautiful scenery of deep blue lakes, wild mountainous landscapes, and rugged coastline.
For many people around the world, the Ring of Kerry drive encapsulates their image of Ireland. The spectacular scenery, dramatic coastline, colourful towns and villages and ancient archaeological treasures have been featured in postcards, film, poetry and song. Each twist and turn on the road will reveal new sights - windswept cliffs, breathtaking scenery, spectacular lakes, rich flora and fauna, green and yellow chequered hills and unspoilt beaches. It is said that the landscape varies a hundred times in 100 kilometres.

There is evidence of the region's unique heritage and culture everywhere, in the place names, the standing stones and the many archaeological sites. Visit the 6th century beehive huts on Skellig Michael - UNESCO World Heritage Site, the stone forts at Cahersiveen and Castlecove, the Neolithic stone circle in Kenmare, the 15th century Ballycarberry Castle, the magnificent O'Connell Memorial Church, Derrynane House and Gardens, or visit the pretty 19th century Heritage town, Kenmare.

Waterford

Waterford City is steeped in history, heritage and culture. Founded by the Vikings in 853, and later extended by the Anglo Normans, it is set in a commanding site on the River Suir's estuary, and became the southeast's main seaport. From the 18th century onwards, the industry of the city prospered, most famously its glass industry. The strong commercialism still exists today, and the port is still one of Ireland's busiest. Waterford not only boasts some of the most beautiful countryside in Ireland, particularly the splendid scenery of West Waterford's mountain passes, but you will also find a spectacular coastline nearby with miles of safe sandy beaches.
Galway
Galway - a city, county and an experience to be savoured. The city has a unique vibrancy while the countryside offers a lively Gaeltacht, and diverse scenery – from the beauty of Connemara to the wow factor of Killary Harbour.
Galway city is unique among Irish cities because of the strength of its Irish language, music, song and dancing traditions - it is often referred to as the 'Bilingual Capital of Ireland'. The city is well known for its ‘Irishness’, and mainly due to the fact that it has on its doorstep the Galway Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking area). The language is visible on the city streets, with bilingual signage on display on shops and road signs, and can be heard by locals around the city. Irish theatre, TV production and Irish music are an integral part of Galway city life, with both An Taibhdhearc, the National Irish Language Theatre, and TG4 headquarters in Galway. This has brought an Irish-speaking young professional population to the city and county, and has generated a renewal of interest in the language and in language-related activities and social events.

Dublin
Dublin's Doorstep is located on Ireland’s East Coast and refers to the five counties of Kildare, Laois, Louth, Meath & Wicklow that surround Ireland’s capital city.  This region is famed for its rich natural charms, ancient sites of Newgrange and Glendalough, top golfing and world-renowned horseracing. Fascinating and compelling, this region is at the very centre of Ireland’s history.   Located in the counties of Louth and Meath is the Boyne Valley.  The Valley was once Ireland’s ancient capital and it’s most sacred mythical landscape.  The county of Kildare, in particular, is home to some of the world’s finest thoroughbreds and the 2006 Ryder Cup. The 2011 Solheim Cup, which is considered the premier event in Women’s World Golf, comes to Killeen Castle County Meath and will feature the top European and American players.
